Kathleen, the well known classic from Marion harbor, is a 72’ yawl owned by Jim and Kathy Feeney.  Over the past ten years, Jim and Kathy have given us the opportunity to build all of Kathleen’s sails.  From the coast of Maine through the islands of the Caribbean, Kathleen is a well traveled, handsome, and admired yacht. Jack Desmond, owner of Affinity, contributed to our success in the racing world.  Twenty years ago we started building racing sails for his Kalik 40.  A great friendship developed along with a successful racing history.  Recently Jack has cruised and raced his J-42 and Swan 48 avidly from New England to the Caribbean. Siren is a beautiful New York 32 restored by Peter and Kate Cassidy.  Introduced through a common circumnavigation, Matt Sperry and Peter Cassidy discussed new sails for Siren.  Since then we have had the privilege of building all of Siren's sails.  Peter’s race record has earned us the sails on Gentian, another New York 32. Lady-B started as a Norseman 44, and later became a Swan 53 and a J-29.  Jack Madden has cruised, raced offshore, and  raced around the buoys from Buzzards Bay to the Caribbean with more of our sails than I can count.  We know of few others who enjoy sailing as much as Jack. The 65’ schooner Juno was designed by Nat Benjamin and built by Gannon and Benjamin on Martha's Vineyard.  Completed in the spring of 2004 she is arguably one of the prettiest schooners at sea.  Nat Benjamin asked us to build the sails using modern low stretch materials while maintaining a classic look.  Juno has been racing and cruising now for several years with outstanding statistics. Our relationship with Geraldo Rivera began years ago when he put together an around-the-world voyage to be documented by the Travel Channel.  Our ocean passage experience contributed to his choice of Sperry Sails to build all of  the sails and canvas for his own circumnavigation.  Over the years, Geraldo and his crew have been great to us. A pair of beautiful Buzzards Bay 25’s lie in Marion harbor.  One owned by James Spader, the other by Michael Baldwin.  Both James and Michael have chosen us to build and maintain their sails.  Customers like these play a great part in our enjoyment, and that goes a long way toward a beautiful end product.
